Swapping the Guts of a SI Dizzy into a DX - will pay $
Can somone PLEASSEEE explain to me how to do this in detail? if somone can and it works when i install the new one into my car i will send them 20$ over paypal
my car is the DX which, the Bearing in the dizzy has gone, i have a good SI dizzy in my possesion, but i'm told it is not a direct swap?

everythings is simple but i don't know about the bearing! never tried that part before! besides the si dizzy will bolt up, just wont use all 3 bolts!

It's a direct swap and a simple remove and replace operation if both distributors are the same generation. Just don't lose track of the timing and set it up 180* out.

k so this is what i've done so far, replaced ALL the components from the SI into my DX one, all wiring etc seems fine, rotor is turning
but i'm getting no spark??

ok so if the bearing in your dizzy is no good then why are you swaping parts into it and still using it?
I'm not sure about the direct swap, but hey if someone else says the SI dizzy will bolt up and plug in then I'd say try that first.
When all else fails = distributor king. you will be impressed.

flip it around, your timing is 180* off

Yeah. flip the cam follower 180*. You are sparking on #4 when it should be sparking #1. Are you 100% sure the Si distributor was good?
