<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by sniperslayer &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> but i'm told it is not a direct swap?
</TD></TR></TABLE>

It's a direct swap and a simple remove and replace operation if both distributors are the same generation. Just don't lose track of the timing and set it up 180* out.

ok so if the bearing in your dizzy is no good then why are you swaping parts into it and still using it?

I'm not sure about the direct swap, but hey if someone else says the SI dizzy will bolt up and plug in then I'd say try that first.

When all else fails = distributor king. you will be impressed.

lol. the question:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by sniperslayer &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">180deg out?

the answer:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Jim Truett &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

flip it around, your timing is 180* off

Yeah. flip the cam follower 180*. You are sparking on #4 when it should be sparking #1. Are you 100% sure the Si distributor was good?
