It could easily be done in a day.

It could...but don't just allocate yourself ONE day...**** goes wrong.

Give yourself 3-4 days to get both done. If this is your first swap experience it will take you a while longer than most people who have done a few.

Oh, I figured he knew what the hell he was doing. Since it sounds like he doesnt have a clue, it will probably take a week or so.

lol

Cold.

Yeah you can do the tranny yourself....I mean anybody can do anything. Though if you are questioning what you're doing...don't do it.

Wiring up the VTEC's cake. Though I'd use a ready harness.

I'm PRETTY SURE you can get away with the Si harness - that should eliminate all the wiring. Assuming you're using the P30 or P2T ECU everything should plug right in.

yes very cold to a newbie but I dont care I am running a p30 but I am going to buy a Phearable.net ecuwith a 9000 redline as soon as a get a set of springs and retainers but like I said both cars are running 100% I just want to swap them over the ex that the b16 is in is already pre wired for vtec and the cx is not I am thinking about doing the whole harness swap how hard is that to do??

u dont need to swap the entire harness just the engine harness...also dont buy a preprogrammed ECU...its a waste of money...spend a little extra money and have the car professionaly tuned...the difference is night and day..
like i said before if u use common sense you can get it done...how long it takes depends a lot on your working style and how familar you are with what your working on....id say give yourself two days for everything...make sure if your gonna replace any parts to have them before you start so there is no prolonged downtime
