Default ls/vtec build question......

Hey guys,

I am about to purchase a LS block from a buddy, it comes with the LS crank and rods. I have JDM itr pistons P73-00 that im gonna install along with a SiR2 B16 head and full itr valvetrain including cams, considering gettin a ctr intake cam.

I also have a Spoon ECU (genuine **** not a chip!) It came with a friend's EG6 from japan. Was wondering if i can run it on this along with the AFC Neo until i get my hondata? All this is goin into a crx....

Thanks

you should be fine just keep the revs low, my friend ran a stock p28 for a few hundred miles on a 12.2:1 ls vtec til he was able to get it tuned, we just cranked up the fuel pressure, he also never revved it over 5k

Might as well get a set of Eagle rods in there while you at it.

aftermarket rods won't fit oem pistons. just use arp rod bolts.

Yea thanks for the reply guys, i was considering gettin eagle rods and wiseco pistons 11.5:1 or so

But money constraints wont allow me to do this right now. Planning on revving to 8200 but a redline of 8500 just to be safe. I might change the itr pistons to sir2 b16's.
