Default Y7's oil pressure

So i had a D15B7 that i turbod and tuned for 12psi....i set it at 10psi to be safe....well after a year of getting beat on it finaly blew...
...i swaped in a Y7 bottom end that i had laying around in my basement...everything runs smooth....although i noticed my oil press was runnin around 25psi at 4K warm???? my B7 would be at 25psi at idle and about 70psi at the higher rpms...

...now i have search on shimming the spring in the oil pump to up press, but i did come across something about shimming the pressure relief valve to up it by 10psi...first question is where is the pressure felief valve at...2nd what would be better to do, shim the spring or the valve, and who has actually done this and seen a raise in press...oh ya i'm runnin royal purple 10w40 thanks-Pat

i posted this in the forced induction forum too

i guess no one has a D16Y7 and turbo charged it and had a prob with the oil pressure being so low, oh wait all 96 to 98 honda engines all run low oil pressure...at least too low to go into boost without fear of blowing the engine....

....oh well maybe later i'll put up a pic of my blown engine so i can get some replies, even though all i'll get is "wow man that sucks", and "good luck on fixin the problem", or "i don't think that big hole is good"

where is the master of knowing things to be thinking about when i need him aka Archidictus the resident ***-whooper

well from what i "hear" all people do is put a washer in the spring in the oil pump to up the psi...while searching i also read about people shimming the pressure relief valve....all i want to know is which is easier, and or better

No, I mean it sounds like the oil pump may be having problems/going out. That just seems way too low. Someone else plz come in with some insight.

running a small rsx filter might help some, or run a toga high flow oil pump. PM Bense, he has one for sale that's practically new.
