Are you sure the GSR is too small? And what water pump do you have on there? Is it a 19 or 22 tooth?
When doing a B20VTEC you should also get a 22T VTEC water pump, and a B18C timing belt, like the GSR which you have. You are sure the GSR belt you have is for a B18C and not the old gsr that had a B17?

Like it says, if you have a B20 water pump, then by a LS Integra belt (easier for the auto parts guy to understand)

No way that would fit on a B18/B20 block, there is a 8.9mm deck height difference between those and the B16 so the belt will have to be 17.8mm longer, there's not enough adjustability on the tensioner to make that work.

the water pump also plays a role in which belt to use. as was previously stated numerous times in this thread.

If you are using the stock B20 water pump YOU NEED A B20/LS BELT, did you read your own post? There was a 1.7 GSR in 92-93 that used the same belt as the B16's. Once again YOU NEED A B20 BELT

simple. count the number of teeth on the pump. 19 = non vtec = non vtec belt. 22 = vtec = vtec b18c belt

Yes. But you would be smart to spend $100, and buy a VTEC water pump. Don't by a chinese knock off either. OEM honda, PERIOD.
The B20/LS pump has less teeth (smaller pulley) and will spin faster, which isn't a good thing.
Then buy a GSR belt.
