Default just swapped a motor in my ef. have a couple questions.

just swapped a z6 into my hatch. Heres my problem.

The car feels as if it boggs very bad at low rpms when coming out of gears. and then straightens itself out and runs good top end. I have not set ignition timing and do have a check engine light on for the tps sensor. (its broken, but it still can be plugged in just has to be ghetto rigged to stay) When the tps sensor is unplugged it actually runs better with less idle jumping?? What could this be?

Verict- car runs better with the tps sensor unplugged with less idle jumping. The car has a bouncy idle with the tps plugged in and the cel off?? (the plugg has to be replaced though because its all smashed up)

Your ECU uses your TPS to calculate engine load and other things. IF it isnt working then your fuel maps won't be accurate.

when your TPS Sensor is unplugged your ECU still needs a signal from it, but it doesnt get one, so it uses a "Default" value. Usually these values allow your car to run well even if there is a problem (Faulty TPS Sensor). Your TPS Sensor is the problem if you have the code for it. It might not be open circuit, it could be an out of range voltage which the ECU doesnt understand... So you should check your wiring leading to your TPS from you ECU for resistance / open circuit, and then check your TPS signal wire voltage when the engine is running. Closed, i think it should be less than 1.5 volts, i dont know exactly for honda

alright. thanks man. Ill pry just pick up a throttle body and swap them out. When the car first starts up the idle goes up to around 2 k then bounces down. Also bounces way down after giving it gas?? Could this be linked to the tps sensor issue?? Also, the motor will rev really well at idle, but as soon as i drive it feels like its booging like said before. hmm

It is a combination of both your TPS not functioning correctly and your ignition timing not being set. Primarily, it is the TPS.

was your car dpfi before the swap? if so, and when you converted to mpfi for the swap, did you remember to reverse the tps? if not, the car will think it's at wide open throttle (wot) when it's actually closed.

Replace the TPS, then check the timing.

the harness is an si harness, so no. I will replace the tb and set the ignition timing and see what happens. I just hope that it is not the clutch maybe partially engaged and feels as if its bogging untill high rpms. I installed the clutch according to directions, but it makes a humming noise. is thsi normal for new clutches?2

yea but i can ghetto rig the tps sensor so the cel doesnt come on, but then the car idles high when i start than the idle bounces? and the fitv was already blocked so that cannot be the problem

Is the IACV plugged in? You didn't happen to mix up the MAP sensor plug with the TPS one did you?
