Hey, I know the Type R comes with a black carpet and the other models with a black interior come with a grey carpet. Did GSR's ever come with a black carpet or is it strictly Type R?

 

some GSR's had a black carpet...i know milano red came with a black carpet. maybe some others?

 

Oh okay, my friend had a Red 95 GSR and I thought the carpet was black. Thanks! I went to order a new ITR carpet from Acura. Cost was over $400! I figured it is because it is a Type R part number. Maybe if I order it for a GSR it will be cheaper. Anyone here want to sell me a used ITR carpet?

 

i have a used one...its not in perfect shape but it might be ok. there are a few rips and tears but they should get covered by the floormats and center console. i'll sell it to you for a lot less than $400 haha.

try ordering from baranco acura (LEN)...perhaps he can get you a better deal.

 

I want to buy a used one, but only if it is in really good shape. I work at a Honda dealer so that was cost from Acura. I need to find out the interior type code from a Red GSR and look up the price for that black carpet. Hopefully it will be cheaper.

I was wondering that, too.. maybe because the ITR carpet doesn't have any sound deadening? I don't know what GS-R carpet looks like underneath.

I understand if you must have OEM carpet, but this is worth checking. They will even provide samples via snail mail. Hope this helps!

Edit: Cost is $115, not sure if that includes shipping or not.

 

I got a used black carpet for CHEAP! only it has a spot on it that stinks! I am in the process of cleaning it. I've gotten it to smell less and less crappy. If I can't get the smell out completely, I will keep looking. Thanks everybody!
