Hello, My 88 dx hatch has been bogging out while accelerating for awhile normally it was just when it was cold. But now its getting really violant jerking while accelerating. It also is now dieing out and haveing problems starting, where i have to keep my foot on the gas to get it to start. I replaced the alternator about 3 months ago which is when the rough accelration started. It was a junk yard replacement from a honda. Any help would be great.

did you check your main relay and did you check for spark? If you haven't the go check those things and get back to us.

 

Ok sorry guys its throwing the code 16 the engine light wasnt on so i figured it wasnt throwing a code =/ . and i'm not sure on how to check the main relay. Sorry i'm such a newbie lol. all 4 plugs sparking.

i had a similar problem. i think it was either the tps or my dizzy. i replaced both of them at the same time and it fixed it. dont know if this helps at all.

 

i had a smiliar issue, to, it was my igniter, then i had to do the fuel pump at the same time too

 

well replaced the main relay lol wasnt that. Gonna check into the dizzy, and fuel pump/filter.
