Hello, I was wondering what needs to be done to a vehicle that was made in mexico or canada, inorder to get it legally registered in the united states? If it meets CA emmision standards will it be ok to take to the dmv, and get CA plates? Also what will something like this cost?

I am not sure, how would i find out that information?

 

There are several thread on importing cars. I would just search them down.

 

Wouldn't the VIN number tell you where the car was made and what market it was intended for? I've also seen Honda stickers on the upper radiator support that said "Made in Canada" on a '90 Civic that was licensed in Maryland...
