07 si sedan, winter wheels and tires?
i'm not really a honda guy but my girl just picked up a 07 si sedan, i'm guessing the brakes are the same on these as they are on the 06 si coupe, so any winter wheel tire combo that fit that, should fit on this, right?
also, for those that do drive these cars in the winter, what kind of winter wheel tire combo's are you using? i think i'm just gonna pick up some 15 inch steelies they have on discount tire direct...
thanks.

i can understand what your saying , but i'm probably gonna sell the stock wheels and tires, then put some 18-19's on it for the spring/summer time.. so rather then have her drive around on the stock 17's and possibly wreck them by hitting pot holes, curbs and such in the shitty weather.. I'd rather theres just a cheap steel wheel on the car with a tire that has a real sidewall in the winter.. she's not much of a winter driver to begin with
15"s wont fit. Smallest you can really run is 16"s. I've got the 06 EX wheels with the stock all season bridgestones and they do pretty well in the snow(wheel weights are within CMs of the brake caliper). And yes any wheel that fits the 2dr si will fit the 4dr si
Leave the All-Seasons on for the winter and buy some new rims in the spring. They stock wheels arent worth that much, plus she'll have them for next winter.
so discount tire direct has there sizing wrong then? they list 15's as fitting on the 06 civic Si

I cant imagine 15"s fitting over the calipers on the 06+ Si's. Like I mentioned my 16"s BARLEY clear the calipers and even then the wieght on the inside of the rim is ridiculously close to the the caliper. I wouldnt go any smaller than 16"s

*** Cannot downsize to 15" ***
I have 16" steel wheels from Tire Rack with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2.
They fit fine.
BUT, unless your girl's 07 Si came with the Exalto PE2s (summer tires), the HX MXM4 (all-seasons) should do just fine on Long Island this season.

I am running stock wheels and toyo 215/45/r17 studless snow tires. I plan on purchasing new wheels and tires in the spring, and using stock for winter. I didnt want to purchase 16' steelies and then not be able to use them if I upgrade brakes in the summer.
yeah, I guess your right... maybe i will just let her use them, last winter wase'nt to bad... this should be an easier car for her to drive in the snow anyway compared to her 03 maxima...
thanks, jay
