Hi,

Id just like to say hi...im new to the boards...just bought a 98 gsr with 12,000 miles on it...immediately switched to obd1 chip...(conversion kit) and got AEM CAI. those are the only mods to my car. The prelude I raced, was a 94 vtec..5 speed. CAI, catback exhaust. We raced twice..once him beeping once me beeping...when he beeped i jumped him and pulled 2 lengths on him..we both agreed that was unfair so he had me beep. we both launched at the same time upon my third beep this time...he seemed to pull me for 1/2 gears...(only slightly...we stayed side by side) but...3/4 were all GSR power. I only beat him by a length..but hey those 2.2s got some trq. I guese thats the difference between torque and high end....id take high end anyday I suppose. but No dissin preludes. because they are great cars and I love my friends 94vtec, it pulls nicely. But I was actually quite proud of my lil 1.8! thx for readin.

its weird..cause actually when my friends father was younger he was a trans am series racer out in cali...I beleive it was just my car had a better power to weight ratio...even tho he obviously had more torque..pulling me slightly in first and second..i had better topend...I mean honestly..its not to ahrd to floor the gas...and shift hard..or powershift..althought neither of us were. like I said it was real close...prolly a length mabey 3/4ths.. Dunno...glad I won...mad braggin rights.
