*** CRX RECOVERED ***
So, I posted last Sunday that my crx had been stolen from Mira Loma:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1827342
On Wednesday night, I get a call from Riverside's Sheriff's dept:
sheriff: we have found your car, come pick it up.
me: is it driveable?
sheriff: yes, looks complete other than the stereo.
me: hmm... oh ok, i'll be over.
I take too long, and they towed it. So i call the tow yard, and they're closed. I pick it up first thing the next day.
minor bump on the passenger side front bumper, paint is chipped and my lip is gone, big crack on the windshield. Navigation of course, gone. iPod that i had in there, gone. Auto Meter Monster Tach, gone! (I've been trying to get rid of that actually.. lol) Seats, still there, wheels are all there. WOW!
They put 200 miles on the car, and left a toolbox full of tools, a duffel bag, some PS2 games, XBOX games, audio cassettes, CDs, clothes, a pillow, a dollar, a picture of a lil' girl, an admission's book from Cal State Fullerton, with a receipt from buying books, from 2004. WTF?!
All in all, even though, the navigation and the iPod, pretty much covers the price of the car, it wasn't that much of a loss, considering all the other parts it had. So, of course, i got the car on Thu morning, I put, an alarm, Lo/Jack, re-installed my quick-release, changed the steering column, since the bastards broke it!

Thanks to all you guys for your concerns and wishes of me finding it. Car is back to its rightful owner...

Actually, the receipt has a name and address on it... but i'm not sure if it's the perpetrator or if it's someone else's stuff, since it looks like he just went and collected random stuff ya know.... I'll post it when i dig everything out of the car...

seems like some meth or crackheads took the car. no one else besides them, do that sort of thing..
its good to hear you're putting in lo-jack..but you shouldn't mention it on a public forum. seeing how now people know you have it and will disable it,,and its not hard to do or find the unit,,lo-jack's really outdated anyway..

well said....some homeless meth-head prbably, and sounds like he left his bag of stolen goodies and the cops thought it was your stuff!
good news man.
just put a gps transeiver in the car and you can track it with a capable cell phone.
cheap and easy.

Show the police the recepit. Maybe they can link it to other cases and find these guys. Or you could give the stuff back to the people that they stole it from. You, everyone else, and I were glad to get that you got your car back in pretty good shape. I'm sure the people would enjoy getting their game systems back.
