Hello guys, I am going to buy a 00 civic si, but the only thing is, is that everything is in spanigh, all of the writing on the radiator capm to the battery.If a vehicle is made in the USA, what will the vin start with? Also what will a vin from mexico start with?

 

If it is from the USA, it will start with a 1
If it is from mexico, it will start with a 3

The vin starts with a 1 but when I checked the car on carfax, it said invalid vin. What does that mean?

 

It could mean that the vin number could be missing a digit, or could have a wrong letter or number.
