Default lowered crxs and civics

how often do you guys go through tires on your lowered honda? how low are you guys and what tire do you run? my crx is eating up my kuhmo tires on the inside and i know i need a camber kit.

edit: kumho tires

I have a 89 civic with Tein SS Coilover set-up, Yokahama AVS ES100(195/50r15) and a good alignment. I don't even have a camber kit and It's been 5 month of hard driving and barely any inside wear. If you get your toe adjusted straight out on the alignment, you can save alot of tire wear. It won't be perfect as a stock car but it will help you out alot...Here is some pics for your reference..

i have no gap all around on my crx and im still running on the same tires 2 years ago.

you need a alignment thats it. go get it and eveerything would be solved. if they ask you about camber tell them dont worry about it just fix the toe in/out.

no finger gap really and no tire wear and i drive like an *******. I do have a camber kit but my camber kit maxed out and my camber is over the min cause im to low.

i say take it to a good alignment shop. DOes your car pull left or right? or steering feel funny?

it was at a good alignment shop. it was pullin to the right but that was fixed. steering is just fine. and my car is just about as low as yours in the front anyways.
but when i took my car to the shop they said they couldnt really do anything about the front camber. but the dude said he did as much as he could.

oem mud flaps FTW

buy you a set of neo gens. nittos. they are good for excessive camber.

yup those are grids.

i also forgot to mention im running 205/50/15 in the front.

you really shouldnt have inside wear unless you autocross with them alot.

since your sol so far i would just try another shop and see what they say. cause i am couple degrees over the recommended camber even with my camber kit but i still dont get any wear.

How many miles are on your suspension pieces?

It may need upper and lower ball joints, and/or inner and outter tie rods, maybe even struts. Worn out components eat tires.

I know I got my car aligned and it felt better but after a week or two it started to pull again.

my alignment was done a couple weeks ago and is still great.. i do need one inner tie rod though.. which im getting fixed this week hopefully. also hopeing getting new bushings all around this week too. pretty srue my struts are good though. no noise except for the passenger side when i go over big bumpes.. but i think that might be a bushing issue but i could be wrong. i have new upper ball joints and as far as i know the bottom ball joints are original.

It very well could be a bushing issue. You can sport lots of negative camber with little to no side effects as long as you have ZERO toe, and your bushings STAY that way when you are driving. Old bushings will allow you toe to deviate.
