Yea what he said. From my past dealings Vtec either works or it dosent. There is no in between. Are you getting any CELS(chck engine light) when you say VTEC isn't working? More info will help us to help you.

Are you going by the "sound" that it makes? Be honest...

It either works or it doesn't. Choose one. There is no "half VTEC".

sorry dont want to start a huge argument but my b16a doesnt have **** until VTEC it has no bottom end so that would make it hit VTEC and it gets a hell of alot louder my friend with a B18C keeps askin why it engages so loud dunno but I like it.

well if you do have a lsVtec then that would explain why yours is louder than a B16 b/c you proved my point. I dunno I keep reading everyone pissing on B16's and so did I until I got to japan and bought my SiR, Maybe is a combo of the tranny and the engine but for some reason its quick i know for a fact it would **** on the b16's in the states I drove 2 (i mean stock si vs. stock SiR). I'm interested to see what kind of outcome it will have when its built.

^^ lol my thread? of the hamster?

Stock for stock B16A has loudest "Vtec" engagement.

Check your wiring, if it sometimes works and sometimes doesnt.

Do you have a VAFC2, I had the same problem, and it had to do with the VAFC2 and the ECU. Something was hooked up wrong. I took out that piece of junk and just went with Chrome, since my bro has it.
