Anyone using the new hankook RS2's?? How do they compare to azenis?
not as good as the azenis on dry traction but better on wet traction.. if all you care about is good dry traction and you don't live in cold climate then i would get the azenis 615....i sold my hankook rs2 and i just ordered my 615 yesterday

Thanks for the reply. I guess that said it all! I think for the price of them It'd be worth going to the 615's. I've got two worn out Toyo T1s's and two good ones. I may look into replacing the two bad ones with new toyos as well. It looks like theyre dry traction is as good as the hankooks, but maybe not the azenis.

Its actually the T1s. I've heard the new T1R's dont have the same dry grip. I love the S's, but theyre damn hard to find now. what are your thoughts on replacing two S's with two T1R's and have a missmatched set. Theyre a similar tire, but the car will see track use.
Im pretty sure i saw a shootout in Grassroots magazine and they rated the RS-2 higher than the Azenis. This was testing tires for street/autox

i seen that article and im positive that the azenis came out on top, both the 615 and the discontinued 215 beat the rs2.

For almost all purposes, I would go with the Azenis 615's.
The Hankook compound is very good. However, you will notice two things when you put 215-45-16 Hankooks next to the same size Falkens.
1. For the same size tyre, the Hankook is going to tend to have a smaller real world width.
2. The Hankook tread design puts less actual rubber contact patch on the ground. I think that they were so set on improving on the Azenis 215's wet performance that they over did it, providing much more channeling than they actually needed, with the end result that the overall grip is reduced.
My subjective opinion is that the Hankook compound is quite good. If they'd consider a tread redesign, I think they might equal the 615's in the dry.
