2006 Accord LX V6 Coupe (Automatic) -- Random Backfire upon Redline Shift???
Hey guys!
I haven't posted anything here in awhile (as I sold my Civic), but now it's my dad that needs the help! He has a new (purchased new) 2006 Accord LX V6 Coupe with around 6,000 miles. At around 1,200 miles, we started to notice that if you punch the car (it's an automatic), it tends to backfire (not superloud, but definitely noticeable) around redline right before it shifts to a higher gear. Has anyone heard of a problem like this? Perhaps something to do with iVTEC and not just specific to this engine? Let me know if more details are needed!
Kind regards!
