Who has the highest whp turbo S2000?
Im curious as to who has the highest whp Turbo S2000 around. Wanting to know what we have to beat
Right now im at 598whp with a 62-1, topmount intercooler, TDF manifold, built motor, stock camshafts.
Who else is making big numbers?

Are you talking about useable Hp or dyno queen??? i assume you are talking about a dyno queen. A dyno queen means NOTHING. I can make over 1000hp on 1 pass. Im sure I will need to rebuild the motor after that. What you should ask is who has the fastest s2k in the 1/4. 650-700rwhp is a good drag car. If you have much over that it will be damn hard to put it to the ground and your turbo will take all day to spool, unless you have a HUGE shot os N2O

i meant in terms of a street car.
our s2k has 10in wide wheels and a 240sx rear end, so im not worried about traction.
just curious what people were making, as i said, we are at 600whp right now, just seeing if anyone has crossed the 700-800whp threshold on an F20

Um, sure it does. It means you have the highest horsepower car, that might be not impressive in the sense that getting that power down the track the quickest, theres a lot more to it. but you cant deny the fact that it would be impressive to have the highest horsepower s2000.

Yeah ok. 1000 rwhp in any 4 banger honda is very difficult.

Yeah dyno queens suck. The 800+ whp one I saw was a dyno queen. They did it only once to show it could hit 800+. The power not usable at all

Not when you run 30-35lbs on a huge turbo that dosent spool til the top and you have a 100-200 shot

Street car... So you run C16 all day as a DD?
I also I have a 300zx rear with DSS axels and run DR on the street. Im kind worried that the rear diff wont hold that much power on a hard launch. I was at the track when Inline left there diff on the ground with 10.5 in ET streets

maybe you should ditch the baby r200 rear end and go over to r230 rear end

I think the new year will bring some high hp s2000 and some in upwards of 1K at the wheels. As for 1/4 mile times, it is only realistic to see significant times dropping with that kind of power.
However traction and suspension is where the attention will move towards. We are currently re-engineering our setup in order to be competitive for next year. See you all at the track.

Do you know if they are a 2 or 4 bolt rear cover??? If they are 2 then Im down, other then that if it breaks we will put a ford 9in with a turbo 350 trans. Im getting lazy, I dont like to shift

Nobody offers a bolt up kit for it, as far as I know only the normal r200 so I highly doubt you have it, I will let youknow how many bolts on the cover tomarrow when I am at the shop it only comes in a 3.63 final drive which is awsome for getting the gearing right

I have the r200 diff and its a 2 bolt cover with 5 bolt out put flange. I know there is a 4 bolt cover also.

ooooook, so the r230mis the 300zxtt diff, its the same as the r200
More info...
There is a r180, r200, r230
The # is the size of the ring gear, 180mm, 200mm, and 230mm. So the r230 WILL fit in any of the bolt on kits!!!

the r230 is a 6 bolt flange not 5 bolt
the diff is not the same as a r200 the ring gear is 9.05" as compared to the smaller 7.something on the r200 it might be able to bolt in but it is still a different differential alltogether

You can get the diff in both the 5 bolt or 6 bolt output flange. The 5 bolt is stronger. Like I said in my other post. The r200 diff is 200mm and the r230 has the 230mm ring gear

Unless the car weighs sub 2500 lbs with driver and you cut a 1.2 60 foot or better there is no way that 400 whp is gonna run you a 9
Even per a hp/quartermile calculator which are well know for reading low it cant be done
850whp (the minimum we are shooting for, max we are going for is 1000) with the car weighing 2700 with me in it will put it in the 158-160 mph range (850whp) this is good for a high 7 to mid 8 (this all massively varies per the launch) I am really beefing up the drivetrain though so that we can run a huge slick (28 x 10.5) and go all out on the launch so that we can really go fast with that (hoping for the high

The rear end I have specifically is the z32 300zx tt rear end, the na rear ends are the r200, the tt was the r230 I have never seen a 5 bolt r230 rear end or even heard of one

actually James maybe this cancels itself out but this can give you a idea...
in my fathers car we are making 402whp and 289ft lbs .. not to sure on the torque...
the car weighs in at 2300lbs.. this is full NHRA soec cage full glass etc. with him its at 2450ish... and the best to date on a base map was a 10.0@138 that was with a 1.5 60ft. the best we have cut is a 1.41.. to bad the biggest tire we can run on that car before cutting it is a 24.5x10x15..
