Default 2.75 vs 3.00 aem cai?

Im a ricer.... Its all dependent on tb size, manifold design, etc. too many factors to consider for such a minimal gain.

I've been doing the opposite in my engine, hah. Well, actually, I just recently found out about it when I decided to measure my intake diameter. Suprisingly, a quarter inch difference doesn't look like much.

Anyways, the volume of air moving through each pipe will be different due to the different cross sectional areas. But, the velocity of the air will be faster with the smaller pipe, holding the lengths of both constant. So with your bigger pipe, your velocity will be lower, but the volume of air will be greater.

How that applies to any of this, some engine builders might need to chime in. More air or faster air?
