Default B series equal lenght header (edit: new pics of new header pg.2)

I have another post for the sr20ve header that I done for my buddy's g20. This one is for my wife's car.

<FONT COLOR="red">EDIT: New header and pics on page 2. </FONT>https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=2

<FONT COLOR="red">EDIT: New pics page 3 </FONT>

still not done 100% but I made nice progress. The runners are with in 1/4" from each other for lenght. Right about 24" total lenght.

Clean.

You need to do a dyno run w/your typical stock vs aftermarket vs yours.

Curious of results.

Well I just got back from the dyno and I am verry happy with the results. So is my wife.

the old dc sports 4-1 w/2.5" collector

the new ASP header

and the dyno

Blue= ASP 4-1 w/megaphone (not tuned)
Red= DC Sports 4-1 w/2.5" collector(tuned 13.5:1 A/F ratio)

The only thing that I changed in the tunning is the vtec point form 4600 rpm to 6400 rpm's.

it looks as if your vtec point is way too high by your graph. there is a huge jump in your torque curve. header looks great tho!

vtec is just about where it likes it. I have moved it up and down and 6400 is the best place I found.

remember that the DC header was tuned to 13.5:1 a/f, but the new ASP header was not tuned. I did not have time to tune it, so this is just a base dyno.

This is with the exhaust hooked up, right? Very nice results, I'd like to see this on my VQ35DE, never seen a megaphone setup on the VQ yet, or any V6 for that matter..

Just a quick ????, the header at the top shows the runners going down right to the collector, but then in the third pic the 2 runners turn at the bottom, why? What there a clearance issue?

No the exhaust was disconected, and the header in the first picture was redesighned to get the right lenght on all the runners.

Im glad to see someone actually has the vtec crossover up higher, theres a lot of ill informed people that I know that believe if they set it down low they'll make more power...ha...

true. I keep telling people that want to lower their vtec, that the only way to know where vtec should be, is to dyno the car and set up the vtec xover while you can see the power band.

I have dynoed car's and the owner request that the vtec be lowered, but I have to tell them that its in their best interest, to just let me tune the car. And ill put the vtec where its best for the power band.

ok, So the runners are the same lenght? I would think they would not be with the extra turns.

Could you build it like you did in the first pic and leave it like that?

yes the runner are the same lenght, with in 1/4" of each other.

I could build it like the first pick, but it would not be equal lenght.

what does ASP stand for? and is that what you are going to call them when you start manufacturing them?

ASP stands for Advanced Street Performance, wich is my on line business. Im not sure what im going to call it, but thats not as important as getting it to make power.

I usually make turbo manifold, but my friend Charles wanted a equal header for his G20 https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1830153 so now ill have to add that and the new B series header to my website.

But my priority is to get the header to fit with out any problems, clear p/s and a/c and still keep it equal lenght.

I ask because I'm interested in purchasing one when you make them available.

Will this be able to bolt up to any after market exhaust when it is finished? or will it be a set that is custom made (by you) for this header.

Thanks for the info.

P.S. I can't believe no one has asked this yet, any need for test subjects?
