How can you tell if a type r spoiler is a OEM honda part or a knock off cheap one?

I believe it will say HONDA underneath

I would assume that anyone capable of making these wings would be capable of "forging" that stamp as well. if the dimensions are the same and its solid, who cares if its OEM or a knockoff.

 

usually knock offs have a 3rd brake light in them too............ R wings DONT have a 3rd brake light on them

 

all the "fake" R spoilers I have seen have bolts that screw into in the spoiler

OEM spoiler uses a nut that attaches to the stud, to go along with the stamp as stated above.

other than that they look the same, you can get exact replica's that don't have a third brake light
