Dosent Want to Start in Cold
Hey guys, i havebt had any car questions in a while, but one came up recently as the cold set in.I have a 92 honda accord LX 5 speed, and i noticed that when its cold out side it dont want to start untill i give it some gas. like i turn the key to start it and all you hear is the starter but untill i give it some gas, it dosent wanna start up. sometimes it will, but i give it gas most of the time. I dont think it is a problem, but if it is could you tell me and could you also tell me why? it donsent really bother me except for the fact that i deliver pizza and it gets annoying sometimes. Thanks in advance
well i tried that today and it actually started up for like half a second and then died on me, after that i just gave it some gas and it ran fine. anything else sound unusual?
Could be a cold start flooded condition.
Fresh spark plugs and dist. rotor?
Clean the throttle plate area, might help too. Berrymans B-12 and a toothbrush.
