Do You Have To Be Concerned with the Timing Belt Snapping with Jun2 cams ?
With the recent discussions on timing belts breaking do you really need to worry about it with Jun2 cams (ITR outersprings, Portflow inner springs). I have my stock timing belt adjusted to factory tension specs. I've driven it in this condition for at least 30,000 miles. I know guys with Jun3 cams (Jun springs) that have gone up to 100,000 miles without problems. I never heard of any timing belts breaking due to Jun cams. So far all timing belt breaks seemed to have occured with Toda B's /C's. Anyone have an opinion on this topic ?. I currently have 50,000 miles on my timing belt, stock tension. Any info would be great. thanks.

Come on Joey. You know Jun cams are all good. I went 70k on my belts. Got the cams at approximately 25k and changed it out at 96k. Miles that is, not kilometes.
I might just have been lucky.

I have no doubts about Jun cams, they work great for me. I think they should be easier on the belts than other cams. Dave, I think you are the test mule for Jun cams, I don't know anyone who has driven that many miles on them
, and they keep pulling strong from the looks of it.
thanks for the replies.

I'd throw on the Power Enterprises belt just for peace of mind.... which I plan on doing myself in a few weeks
