hey guys my buddies CRX steering wheel jerks really hard while he is turning and i told him it might be his tie rods but he said he recently had them replaced. He said he knows his axles have been in bad shape for a few weeks now but hasn't changed them because he is swapping engines in a few weeks, and was maybe thinking those might be causing it. I just wanted to know what you guys think might cause it he said its pretty violent jerking usually to the opposite side of the way he is turning i cant go and check it out because he lives pretty far from me so any suggestions let me know and i will pass them along.

CLIFFS: steering wheel jerks REALLY hard while making turns axles aren't in best condition what is it?

i can almost guarentee it's his universals.. if they are bad nuff, when you turn, they will bind inside.

i had this problem with my swap axles.. one was too long, and because of the pressure on the universal, it gave me a wicked shimmy/slam in the front end.. couldn't turn more than 15 deg cause there was soo much pressure

 

might need an alignment.. does it do it over bumps?
