Default How do you reset Oil Life indicator?

I just changed my oil on my 06 Accord for the first time that I've done it. The very first the dealer did it since it was free. I used a Honda oil filter and Royal Purple oil. Is this a good combination or should I try something else next time? Ok well here is my problem. The oil life where it displays it where the odometer is if you hit that button a few times still says oil life 30%. How in the world do I reset this so it will go back to 100%? I couldn't find it in the manual and couldn't figure out how to do it. Although maybe I wasn't looking in the manual in the correct place idk as I find it hard to believe it isn't in there.

I thought it would be but I couldn't find it on any of the how to change the oil pages. I guess I will have to look some more unless someone here knows how to do it.

Ok thanks. I finally found it in the manual. I was looking around the oil change info but it turns out it was at the beginning of the maintence section. If anyone else is wondering how you do it you get it to display the oil life then you hit the odo reset button and hold it for 10 seconds I had to hold it about 20 for it to work although the manual said 10 and then let go and it should blink. Then you hold it for another 5 according to the manual I had to do about 5-10 a little over 5 seconds and it will reset it back to 100%. Thanks for all your help.

if its blinking a negative number or giving you updates as to how low you are.

dont matter if its on or off.

hold down the mileage reset while the oil % is showing. wait until it starts to blink itself, let go, and hold again until it resets.

presto
