The slicks I see on their site need tubes. Are they really nessesary?

You do not have to run tubes, if you do not want to.

so why run tubes?

 

At a low psi they can run flat due to breaks in the seam.

 

I run M&H 25x8.7/13's on my Lensos with no tubes, and they are fine... Ive run them down as low as 6psi... And they hook like a ****!!!

 

I don't use them, and it's fine.
They leak a little, but no biggy.
The only thing is I have seen a downside to tubes...
Depending on the tech that installs them, if they use too much lube,
your tire will spin first few launches, and shear the valve off.
I have had a few buddies complain of this.

 

I run mine at 6 psi with no tube and no problems. My friend has run them as low as 5 psi with no tubes
