The incident happened at a 4-way intersection just south of Coral Way and 78 Court. I came to the stop sign heading northbound and was inching out to see if any cars were coming (the road crossing me did not have a stop sign). I only saw some lights pretty far out so I edged up some more about to go. I did a double take and looked again and realized that the car was coming fast but by the time I could see clearly past the cars parked along the side of the road I had the nose of the car pretty far out. I saw the speed at which he was coming so I tried to get out of the intersection. Before I could even get clear he hit the car on the passenger side rear of the car about the middle of the rear tire. The car did a 180* spin and I saw the car that hit me not even slow down or come to a stop then take off. I didn't get to see the plates or positively identify the car so I checked on my girlfriend and got us both out of the car. The other car's bumper and headlight came off and were in the middle of the road. I called the police and went through the usual procedures and the car was towed to a body shop.
