Has anybody used this product with success...COLEMAN 6" WAXER/POLISHER
http://www.teamproducts.com/br....html
Has anybody used this product. I want to try it but there are so many bad stories about buffers. I want to use it to restore my 1990 toyota carolla. ( I want to get really good at using it before i use it on my EM1). what do i need to look out for? the thing comes with a synthetic wool bonet ( that feels cheap ) and a terry cloth bonett ( that feels like sand paper)? it's still in the box if i should return it. it just seems like it woul make the waxing process go so much easier and smoother.

If you're tryin' to "restore" your paint on an older car like that using that polisher won't help. Using a dual action polisher will hide paint swirls but won't get rid of them. A good one is the porter cable DA one. I own one for putting on wax or a glaze. I also have a circular polisher (DeWalt) that i use to correct swirls and major defects in the paint. That's the only way you can truly remove the defects in the paint. I would probably get used to a dual action polisher before i hit up a car with a circular because u can mess up the paint if you don't know what u are doing. I say save up your money for the Porter Cable one
. Let me know if u have any other questions.
