so i changed my driver side wheel bearing last week and evey thing was fine until all of a sudden the week my steering rack starts makeing a knocking sound when i move it side to side when the car is sitting still or when i hit a big bump. There is no vibration in the wheel just the loud knock sound. I don't know what could be causeng it at the beginning of the year i changed out the inner/outer tierods white plastic bushing in the steering rack and all the bushings in the frontend. I pulled the driver side suspension apart again earlier today and double checked all the bolts where tiet and couldn't find any thing wrong also adjusted the adjstment bolt on the rack so im lost as to what it could be unless on of my new parts has gone bad.

 

best ting to do is get someone to play with the steering and u go under and hear where its comin from cause it can be anything even ur rachopinoin is getting screwed in side
