ok, so i have a 1990 honda accord dx. automatic trans... i'm a person that loves to learn how to manage my car and maitnence it myself. the thing is i dont know much about cars.... i can change the oil, change brakes and rotors calipers... stuff like that. but i would like to be able to modify and upgrade my ride. new exuast, drop it a little, add intake, and other things....

Do some research and find out what works for your car. The guide to basic accords that is at the top of the forum is a great start and then do some searches on specific products.

Personally I would not modify the stock 1990 engine. Your money would be better spent on suspension and possibly a motor swap later down the line.
