Creaky back end
im buying a 94 eg hatch with tokiko blue shocks and ground control coils. it creaks alot and i was wondering if there is anything i can do. i have had a lowered mazda protege which i just sold and it had a little bit of the same problem. fixed it with new strut mounts. is that all i wouild need to do?
It's probably a combination of the top mounts and the suspension itself. Sometimes sleeve-over coilovers can make some creaks as you extend and depress the suspension. I'd say fix the top mounts first then go from there.
good luck

I just replaced my rear trailing arm bushigns last night and any creak I did have is now gone. Old ones were pretty bad being original from '94.
and yeah, the endlinks do squeak a bit on the type-r/ed/dc2 style rear sway bars, the bushings that go into the holes on the ends of the bar.
