You mean you can't install a straightpipe yourself? You do know how to use a ratchet and socket, right?

correct me if im wrong but i see 2 problems with this. 1. you live cali and aren't your laws very strict and 2. your not gonna benefit much from a straight pipe on your LS which im guessing is stock.

Unless you have a snail to quiet the straightpipe down .. it's going to be annoying,
Also you will see nearly Nothing for gains on a stock to somewhat modded engine.

i remember reading something in a magazine where they put a test pipe and hi flow cat on a car and then put it on the dyno. and it made one extra hp over the hi flow cat. to save you the fine from a cop i would get one of those, but since you don't care about hp gains and i would go out and get another cat. rather be safer than sorry you know.

yea its simple to install. dont recommend cat delete especially on a daily drive car. undo 5 bolts and take out the o2 sensor and just replace them once the test pipe is in. its going tot hrow codes at you though, jsut something to think about. better buying a high flow cat instead of wasting time and money.

OK? Who said anything about an exhaust? He's putting in a straightpipe, not an exhaust. And weren't you the guy who bought this exhaust and then came on H-T and started asking right away how to quiet it down, instead of buying something that was quieter in the first place?

no i am not the guy.

i was just asking how much i would be looking at to get my strait pipe installed.

i bought it off another H-t member and he said its quiet and hes never been pulld and he lives in socal also.

it has a high flow cat on it with a hondasport exuahst.

i do have a shop that can install it and i know the owners so i dont have to worry about a place to get it installed.

i was just asking about retail price form other muffler shops.

thats all.

thanks everyone for their info.

What I said in my last post was to dc2rtek, not you.

BTW if you have a cat, then you don't have a straightpipe. A straightpipe is a pipe that takes place of the cat to make it straight through.

You don't just go into a thread and say some random thing about a random exhaust when someone asks about a straighpipe. That's talking too much. I only post something when I have some real info or something good to say, not just some random crap that'll get my post count up or tell people how mad JDM I am because I got a ripoff JDM exhaust for the JDM status. But yet, that wasn't enough for you, you have to put it in your sig that you have an exhaust to make people all over H-T see how JDM you are. And you are saying I talk too much... *rolls eyes and laughs *
