early build 1994 GSR
Just sold a 94 GSR that i found interesting and was wondering if any one knows more. It is a Canadian car, with 498000 km. The production date is 05/93, seems like a very early date. It was built in Japan and the last #'s are 000078. Anyone know of a earlier date. I have restored a few 60's & 70's cars and love the numbers. If it wasn't a rusty peice of ****, it would be worth something some day just because on the early production. I have a felling that in a few years these cars (Integra) are going to be in high demand. Any production #'s would be helpfull.
Unless its 000001 then it probably wont ever be worth much. "In a few years" is probably going to be about 15-20yrs away. I know there were like 765,000 Integras imported to the U.S. and as I recall it was like 150k for the 94-95s and then started going downhill from there. Depending on year, the GSR accounts for roughly 28% of all integras and as stated, those are U.S. only facts.

Wow, that's pretty early. My car is a 27x car or so. Purchased in July of 1993. I bet the production date would be around the same. Does Canada use the same VIN scheme as the US?
I don't think the early production numbers will change the value. More of the model type will, i.e. Type R.

the last #'s in the VIN are the production #'s for the plant where the car was built. There likely any model of honda before it (no Acura in Japan). As far as I know there is something in the VIN dictating that it was intended for Canadian export (daytime running lights or metric),but that wouln't alter the production #'s at the end of the vin.
The production date is located on the sticker in the Dr. side door jam. (in Canada). In Yarmouth, the closest Acura dealer is a 3 hour drive away. There is not alot around compared to hondas. I've seen more type R integras than gsr's in Nova Scotia.
