Default Mini-me timing belt

I'm trying to put the timing belt on my mini-me swap... It is a b@$ch and a half. I've been working on it for 5 hours and am so pissed off. I'm using the d16z6 timing belt which is the correct one!!! I have the tensioner all the way loose. I'm ready to hit my car with a sledge. Please help. I know its supposed to be tight but i can not get it on.

the most common problem with the timing bekt for the mini-me is when people don't realize that there are two different belts. if you are doing the mini=me on a 1.5 motor the use the belt from 92-95 civic VX.....if the motor is a 1.6 then use the belt from 92-95 civic SI(or EX) OR belt from 96-00 civic EX(same size but cheaper)

I have the CRX Si 1.6l and I can't get the timing belt on at all. the tensioner is all the way loose...I'm using the z6 belt...I know its supposed to be tight but this is ridiculous. If I would get it on i dont feel like i could tighten the tensioner. Any other belts that might work. Or any tips or tricks to get this on..

its the spring that holds on the tensioner. There is a spring a bracket type thing that keep the tensioner in place. If you have your TB cover off you should be able to see it

put a screw driver or something long into each cyl or #'s 1 and 3/ 2 and 4 your choice. w/ belt removed, bring pistons down so there all at the same point this should be low enough to turn the cam as far as you want w/out bending any valves. turn cam till 1 mark is at 12 oclock and the other are horizontal.

I'm going to put a D16Z6 on my D15B7, would I use a EX/Si timing belt or a VX timing belt? My B15B7 is a 1.5 but the D16Z6 is a 1.6.

1.6 mini-me = 92+ 1.6L VTEC
1.5 mini-me = 92-95 VX 1.5L I-VTEC

Oh and it helps the timing blet go on if you only try to get about 1/8-1/4 inch of the belt on each pulley. Once it's on just work the belt onto all the pulleys equally.

Its VTEC-E, just in case someone needs to buy it somewhere.
