I just put my type r back together i have a mugen head gasket and jdm 4-1 header with no cat just a test pipe and a intake its pretty mild. The head is built its has new valves and is fully ported

MY QUESTION IS i have stock itr cams but i purchased cam gears is there any gains without tunning the car and what timing should i set the distributor at ? thanks for your guys help and input

16 +/- 2 degrees BTDC is the factory specification.

 

i used to run 19 degrees at the dizzy, and +1 on the intake cam and 0 on the exhaust cam.
