My Ti 10R and my wife's Xmas present...

It's a 99 ex250, just picked it up yesterday. Got her scheduled for the MSF in a couple weeks, but in the meantime, i've been getting her to practice some start/stop drills down our street to get a feel for the controls. She's picking it up fast, so maybe next season she'll be ready to move up to something bigger. Hope you enjoy the pics!
Nice I bought my wife an 03 R6, 1 year later we were ridding on a local street to go to my buddies BBQ it was 10 of us on bikes my wife was 1st and I was last because I was messing around we were doing about 15-20 mph and a F...... lady made a U turn in front of my wife all I saw was my wife's body in the air she landed onto oncoming traffic but nothing it took me .01 second to make it to her and she was ok Little road rash and shaken up but ok it was the scariest thing I have ever experienced I could have killed the lady who hit my wife she had no insurance or driver license so what Im trying to say its practice alot always were a helmet watch out for everybody on the street ridding a motorcycle is hard work because theirs too many idiots on the street. Ride safe

hehe, thx...you can't really tell in those pics but that "dark" is all carbon fiber from OPP racing.

And to everyone with the concerns, thank you, but no worries. and yes, we both have full gear and full coverage on both bikes.

Or a standard. Something like a monster I can understand her complaining though, if you're not use to riding a bike like that and then go on a long haul it can be painful. Try getting her to ride a little more often, but not in high traffic areas, maybe like a 30-50 mile trip for lunch through the back roads or something.
It's good she's riding though. I feel (and probably most others, but I could be wrong) that motorcycle riders are better car drivers because they're more perceptive from riding a bike. And we all know how much women drivers need to be more perceptive.

Oh no, my reputation is going to be tarnished.
It looks a little large. By standard I meant something along the lines of these bikes:
Ducati Monster
Triumph speed 4
Suzuki SV650(non s version)
Honda 599
Yamaha fz6 (which is basically an r6 with a slightly tuned down engine and -much- friendlier ergonomics)
If she doesn't want to go with a cruiser. Infact, she will have as much power as any one needs and be a lot more comfortable without completely having to sacrifice handling, stopping, and acceleration that comes with riding a sport bike.
But if she wants a cruiser, look for something she can sit on comfortably and is not intimidated by. It's really not about how much it weighs, because you balance a bike and not carry it. It's about what she thinks she can handle and how comfortable she'll be riding it.
