What is the throttle response so much worse than DC2 and BB6
I am a former owner of a BB6 and currently own both a DC2 and DC5. I found DC5 has an extremely slow throttle response compare to the other 2 cars I own. I tightened up the throttle cable since the first day. What makes the DC5's response so inadequate? intake, restrictive throttle body, small airbox??? Anyone know? The difference is very significant, you floor the throttle and it responds about .5 secs later. It gets better at high RPM though. However, with this kind of throttle response, my parents' camry is even do better than that. Anyone?
I noticed that too about the DC5s I've driven. Have you noticed how the revs hang forever between shifts?
Honestly, I don't think it's a matter of restricted airflow. I think it's the way the ECU is tuned (possibly how the i-VTEC is used as a sort of EGR system), and possibly the flywheel is quite heavy.

The flywheel is no where near the weight of the BB6, so I guess you are right. Could be the ECU restriction. I hate it, it makes the car so laggy and not as fun to drive.
