Default Identifying a small piece

Could someone name the piece with a question mark next to it for me? I got these parts back from my machine shop when they rebuilt my cylinder head. I know I have to re-use the sensor, down pins and the oil orifice but what is the last piece? do I need to re-use that also?

Also, is it crucial to use a new exhaust manifold gasket or could I re-use my old one.

Thanks

valve seal ... no you dont have to reuse it, as long as the machine shop installed all of them again. if I were you, I'd make sure that they installed all of them ...

Well he told me he changed all of the old seals with new ones. I had one bent valve and he replaced that bent valve. He gave me back the bent valve and all the stuff you see in the picture. I'm wondering if he only changed just one valve and told me he changed out all of them.....

is there anyway I could visually inspect the cylinder head and see the seals and be able to tell if they are changed or not? I will call the shop later today to verify and make sure he changed all the seals, im just curious why he gave me a single valve seal back, if he wanted to give me all the replace parts back why didn't he just give me all 16 of them back.

Thanks for the help.

The thing with the question mark pointing to it is a valve stem seal

Its going to be tough to figure out which he changed and which he didn't with the cams, springs, and retainers in the way....

I haven't installed the head yet. It's sitting in my room currently without anything.

Here are some pictures of it.
