Skunk2 Integra drops ET once again and more to go!
Skunk2 Racing recently just got back from Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ - race #2 in the Summit Sport Compact drag racing series - where they set a new personal best ET and MPH record. Tony Shagday crashed the gears to a 10.67-sec @ 125.71-mph, amazingly, while bouncing off the rev-limiter 200-ft from the finish line. Says the Omni Man (Steve Rothenbuehler, chief engine builder), "If Tony didn't hit the limiter he could have squeezed maybe another 2-mph and a real low 10.6-sec ET. The exciting thing is that we didn't have the ideal gear ratios in for this event. We're going to see if we can get it (new transmission gear ratios) set for the next race at Atco." Unfortunately for the team, Tony red-lit in the semi final round.
