Default 94 Accord - modding

hey everyone i own a 94 honda accord and i plan to do some upgrades.
just want to know some opinions...
body kit style?
good cold air intake - was looking at autoanything.com at the AEM CAI
good exhaust - again looking at autoanything.com at the magnaflow exhaust

Anything really to increase my HP and Torque
prolly alot of people ask this but i dont even know if a
f22b1 engine is a good one or not anyways
(im new)
thanks in advance guys.

Well, what is the trim for your car (LX,DX,EX)? Does it currently have a F22B1 motor in it?

well the AEM CAI intake is not that bad.. they are certainly better intakes out there.. but still not bad... the exhaust is good.. i like magnaflow... but on a stock engine even on a F22 engine.. intake and exhaust will not get you crazy amounts of HP and TQ...and body kit.. umm there are SOO many different styles and brands you could get.. you just have to go out and look for one..personally i dont like body kits unless you have other aspects of your car modded...i dont think you need to start dealing with aerodynamics until the suspension/engine is a lil modded.. but just my .02 ..... but you might notice a little gain in HP and TQ if you get intake, header, and header back exhaust.. hard to say

with the minor mods you wont be getting as much as you think. you will be fine will a ebay intake that cost $50 compared to the $200 AEM one. you just need a good filter like a K&N one. if you live in an area that rains/snows alot then get a bypass valve so your motor wont hydrolock.

magnaflow exaust sounds good. ive heard some and they sound good to me.

with the easy quickness of hp gain i would just get a nitrous kit...

ok so is the intake even worth it because i know they say they add up to like 15 extra hp ... is it an exageration?
and if not a CAI what about a cheaper SRI?
or is any of this even worth it? since i wont gain much anyways....

huge exaggeration on the CAI they're mostly for sound, if you want to cheap out on it, stock intake and remove the lower resonator (big black box inside bumper)

It'll sound just fine

EX header is just as good as a DC Sports header, don't worry about upgrading that

Work first more on repairing and general maintenance on a completely stock motor and get it as clean and well running as possible, THEN mod

actualy I read an article where they dynoed several intakes on a RSX, the AEM @$600 and something dollars uped hp by 14hp. the dac intake (DC sports) uped it by 13hp, @ about the same price.those prices are crazy.Anyways I ran on mine a ractive CAI on mine , loved it. header, I had pacesetter, worked great. with those two items youv'e spent abotu $325.As far as it being worth it , if you like to expletive with cars , it's always worth it.My 92 cord had every thing you could do to it , on it.Just bolt ons.Car was awesome, but not the fastest car on the block. As far as catback , I would say Apexi , or tanabe. Both not cheap, but worth it.

if you do decide to get the cat-back might as well get the magnaflow cheaper then the apex'i, only wish they would make 'em in dual tip. good luck

As for the body kit, personally i think they are out of style and a waste a money, not only that they get damaged easily, so just get yourself a front lip and some side skirts and call it a day.

that is also a k motor...they respond alot better to bolt-ons than the d/b/f/h motors.

while it might be possible it isn't very probable especially on a twelve year old car....
just get a k&n drop in, pull the lower tube and bolt on a magnaflow.
you best bet was said above:

I would get a cold air intake, a 2.25" cat-back, keep your header.

Get some light rims (Motegi tracklights, light Rotas or Drags) no more than like 12 lbs.
Seriously, that is like adding 10 whp. It will show up on a dyno, I sh*t you not.

Good tires + suspension would be good too, but now your talking more money.

i agree with the ebay intake pipe. but id o want to let you know that with ebay its a hit or miss. my sisters boyfriend bought a ebay pipe and the fitment was HORRIBLE!. the vacum hoses would go one, had to ghetto rig it and a few days later the pipe fell off. we ghetto rigged it as best we can and its doing fine now, but just a pain in the ***. and there was also no kind of braket for support either . the experiance was shitty enough that when im going to get a intake imn going with a name brand, but thats just me. and like i said, ebay is hit or miss, i have installed a few other ebay intakes that fit perfect.

and dont forget about suspension, lightweight wheel and grippy tires

and for styling, i personally LOVE the look of the 94-95 accords. i like the tailights better then the 96-97 and i like the grill and bumper. i even like the look of the lip, haha. i think honda did a great job designing it. but if you must, just pick up a lip. one of my favorite looking lips for the car is the GReddy lip, but thats kinda spendy

yeah.. if you slap that body kit on there: unpainted you will gain 15 horsepower.

if you paint it and it looks legit, you might gain a max of 7 horses.

then you can have a horse drawn carriage and sell rides to people for money in the city. you'd be set for life. you will have so much power to weight ratio that people won't be able to comprehend the work you've done to your carriage. it's gonna be epic.

alright so i have decided to go with
No body kit but im going to lower it and then look for a lip ... maybe depends on how i like it.
Still am thinking about the intakes SAI or CAI... i heard something about the SAI its good for high speeds? they are cheaper so i just wanted to know the deal on what u think would be better.
Exhaust . well.... basically

i am planning on cleaning it up, lowering it, then getting an intake with a nice filter. then from there if i feel like it a new muffler/ exhaust. maybe in the future ill turbo it but i dont make enough money yet

and i agree i love the look of these cars but my taillights i think i might get some clear ones.

the deal with a SRI and a cAI is CAI usually gives more HP gains since it sucks in colder air, but decreased throttle response due to length of piping. short ram will give you better throttle response but generally gives less HP agins since its sucking in warmer air. thats a generalization though.
