heya everyone.
I'm going to install a donnelly mirror with compass and temp readings, and to install it your suppose to mount to the windshield. To keep it short, I don't want to install it on the windshield. I was looking online like on ebay and they have camlock adapters, and I'm not sure if those work for our models.
Does anyone have any information in regards to installing this mirror? Or camlock adapters? If not, im going to make shift my own adapter to mount it to the Roof(stock) instead of the glass, but would really like ot avoid that. Anyway, i have some links below for the mirror and adpater. Thanks! -Jeff

You've got an RSX, right?
You'll have to make your own adapter, and/or drill holes through the mirror's mounting base to get it to work. Your rearview mirror is held by three screws at the leading edge of the ceiling, which doesn't appear to be anything that they offer. Both the camlock and wedge mounts are different ways that they attach to the windshield glass.
If the thermometer gets its reading through its mount and contact with the glass, it probably won't work right if you try to mount it any other way.
Anything's possible with enough work (disassemble it, relocate its sensors elsewhere, whatever), but it doesn't look like it's gonna be easy for you.

the temperature display gets info from the temp probe that needs to be placed at the front of the car, thus he needs to run the wires from the mirror, down the drivers a-pillar, through the firewall etc...
