Hey everybody,
I am in a little dilemma...I blew my d16z6 motor and I purchased a d15b vtec motor...

I bargained with the guy and told him I only needed the motor; he took off the starter, distributor, alternator, and tranny to drop the price to what I could afford....

I've been told by numerous people that my current parts will fit on the d15b motor... but i'm just getting a second opinion for a safe bet, I'm not dropping the motor till a weeek and a bit...


Can anyone holp me out with these questions?
D16z6 parts ------> d15b motor
---Will the alternator fit?
---Will the starter fit?
---Will the distributor fit?
---Will the tranny fit?

d-series parts are interchangable. You should be good with all that stuff

 

Know the tranny will fit.

I'm 99.9% sure the starter and alternator will fit.

And i'm liek -50% sure the distributor would fit (don't know anything whether it will or it won't)

 

as long as the D15B your swapping the Z6 parts are from is a Vtec model than it should all fit (especially the distrubtor cuz i think that matters with Vtec/non-Vtec motors)

another question...
does the D15B require a p05 ECU,
or will it run fine off the stock p28?

and if there is a difference, what will it be?
