Default Hytech or OBX

I just bought a BC pro spec exhaust system and if I was broke right now I'd have it removed already. Cant stand the sound it makes.

I'm goin for a twin loop next year, narrowed it down to 2 choices.
a) hytech - BBAAALLLLLLLIINNNNNNN
or
b) OBX

Now I'm only talkin muffler here, I'm gonna pickup a Kteller piping kit.
And what my 3 concerns would be are: Sound, Performance and Sway bar clearance.

For sound Hytech and from the posts I was able to find Hytech, sounds right up my alley - "The quietest muffler available on the market without any power loss! " Taken right from the Hytech site. And thats basically exactly what I'm lookin for.
But is an OBX gonna be much different?

Also when I searched this topic I found a post where someone had a Hytech twin loop and was running into fitment/clearence issues with a rear sway bar. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

ANd yes I know everyone is going to say get the Hytech, cause its quality sh$t, but for just a muffler is the price i'm gonna pay for the Hytech worth it, really?
Hytech want $399 for the muffler, OBX off ebay I can scoop for under $100

I have the OBX can on my daily... ricer style, just for looks... basically: since you have to weld on the piping that goes into the muffler (there's only a 4" pipe on the intake side of the muffler) you can do it however the hell you want it...

My twin loop isn't under the car as intended, looking at it from behind ti is rotated counter clockwise a bit (making the intake tube move up a bit and the outlet down a bit, giving better clearance)

The Hytech includes the tubing all the way to the B-pipe, so there won't be much you can do to change fitment...

about flow / quality: flow I don't know, since the OEM piping on my EK3 is tiny anyway... But quality might be an issue. The OBX is starting to get louder after about a year! Then again, it actually is a good thing on my daily, as it makes it sound a tad bit better now... LOL

hytech is far better quality than obx but (to my knowledge) john is not making them anymore - so you'd have to find a used one

hytech is 2.5" all the way thru (no bottlenecks) I know my mugen TL had a loop section that was 2.25" which is why I sold it

just the axle back hytech goes for about $400

ive heard people say the OBX gets louder over time. if i were to do it all over again id get a dual inlet dual outlet magnaflow oval and make my own twin loop. magnaflow mufflers are great...
