Most people run a max of 8 psi. There are a few who run with 10-12. The most important thing is to have a very good tune, and keep temps down.

This is true. I was basing my numbers off of a smaller turbo setup.

The psi doesn't matter, its the power that the motor is putting out and the tune that matters.

8 psi on a little 15g turbo = little power
8 psi on a GT47R = alot of power

stock internals can take 300-350whp with a good tune regardless of psi

Really? I don't know much about turboing so excuse my ignorance and sorry for threadjacking. But I thought people weren't really pushing over 300 safely.

with the right turbo and good tune, it's not too hard. take a look at some of the setups in this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1213238

hell some guys are pushing 400+whp. but how long it'll last, only time will tell.

also, forgot to mention that the current health of the engine also plays a huge factor in you blowing your engine up at 300whp or it lasting for another couple thousand miles. but this is a given.

Thanks for the info.

Thats pretty impressive to have 400+whp on stock sleeves and thanks for the link.

Edit - Do you think it makes a difference of how much the sleeves can take given two similar healthy motors but one being a non-vtec and one vtec.

The only reason to change the stock map sensor would be in order to boost over 11 psi. I ran my stock map sensor with a turbonetics T3/T04 at 11 psi and it dynoed 359 whp on Dynapack.

just how long do these motors 'take' 350 whp before problems come up? i'm just curious how much monthly mileage these motors are getting, and how much total miles before big problems arise. i always hear these amazing numbers about how much power a stock motor can hold, but its rare to hear from someone with direct experience.

your numbers seem low for a 60-1 especially your torque
