Default My s2k build by Brauning Motorsports, this will take some time!!!

Ok, I have had my car at there shop for 2 months. They have got alot done but we are only 1/2 way there. I have alot of pics of the motor, sleeves, pistons, rods. The guys that work there are great, belive me they are. I will post pics as the car comes along.

Here is a list of what is going in the car

block,

Darton sleeves with step deck
Corrillo rods
Aries pistons with custom wrist pins
ARP everything

Head,

stock head with Ti retainers
Port match runners

Turbo,

Inline Pros turbo kit
Custom turbo
ARP bolts and studs

Trans,

Stock trans
4 puck clutch
If it breaks then we are going to put a turbo 350 trans in

Diff,

Inline Pros 300zx diff kit with DSS axels, hubs and driveshaft.

Safety

10 point cage, or more made of 4130
Sparco Evo seat
Sparco fire suit, gloves and boots
Sparco 5point harness
5lb tank of halon hard wired in the car

Other,

Aem ems
Aeromotive r1000 fuel pump
-8 SS lines and a/n fittings
1000cc injectors

What the hell did I forget???

Here are some pics

Here are the pics of the turbo. As you can see, the A/R is not that big but the comp and exhaust wheels are large

I really dont know what you would call my car now... street car or race car??? I can still drive it and have a state sticker. When people ask, what would you tell them? Let me know what you guys think. I will take more pics this weekend

Thanks, on my old motor I made 457rwhp on pump and low boost. This motor will have a higher C/R so it should make more power with less boost

no, I sold it. I wanted something that was made to hold more power. I had eagle rods in the old motor, there good for 600whp

No, I never did a edit on there... I think you read it the wrong way. My old moter had 9 to 1 c/r. This one is a good bit higher. I also made 295 rwtq

just a random question on how you deal with smog. is this going to be an "off-road" use vehicle? if not, how do you deal with smog (unless of course in your state you don't have to deal with that)

Virginia has emmision laws as well (dnt know exactly how strict but pretty strict). And especially in fairfax county, Springfield area. Owning an import with any modifications puts you on the radar lol. blkturbos2k should know what im talking about.

thanks guys. We may have run into a small problem. the pistons you see in the pics may have to high of a C/R. They are going to CC the head and redo the math. No matter, we can have a new set of pistons in 2-4 weeks. The cage still needs to get done

Those look to be over 10:1. I ran 9.5:1 Arias in my motor and they had a fair amount of dish to them. Pics are on my Cardomain and my photo gallery on S2ki.

Ok guys, Im sorry I havent had any up dates but we have been on hold trying to think what we are going to use for our clutch. We went with a 4 puck and a VERY strong plate. We only have 5 weeks to have the cage, motor and diff in the car.

Here are some more pics of the car and some pics of the cars in there shop.

Here is the seat for the car

The motor

The diff, axels,D/S and flywheel

There race car and some cars in the shop. P/S the motor in the white Civic is a 2.6lt 300hp N/A motor

I will try to post as the cage goes in. It should be a 10 point cage with tubs going over the strut towers and ending at the front frame rails

haha, thats the key to the high h/p with low boost. I dont need some dumb *** sized turbo to make 650 to 700+ rwhp. The turbo spools alot faster then the bigger ones and makes good power longer. Like I said before, do you want 600rwhp for 3000 rpms or 700rwhp for 500??? Thats why a all motor car will run a low 10 with 300rwhp
