Default Skunk 2 IM problem with Type SH

Hey guys i just installed the Skunk 2 manifold this past week and i'm running into a problem with the oil filter not fitting cause the great designers of Honda decide to put the oil filter location right underneath the intake manifold. Now with the larger runners of the sk2 the oil filter hits the bottom of the runner not letting me thread the filter on. Did any type sh owners run into this problem wit the oil filter? If so, whats a good solution? And i already tried using a oil filter relocation kit, the company that makes it said it would fit my car, but when i installed it, it just leaks. And trust i made sure that the seal was seated in there good. Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks

Which kind of filter are you using? You might be able to use a smaller filter. And the fault is not with Honda, its with skunk 2 and their design department.

I think its called a purolator some crap from advanced auto, but i did read on that old sk2 manifold thread one guy (i think 98Type Sh) he said he used a small oem filter and had to thread it on then "muscle" it in there to fit past the runner. I just thought maybe there was another way or something.

Its either that, or you get a base longblock for that S2 Intake Mani.

To just let everyone know i got my oil fiter to fit under the Sk2. I went to Honda and asked for the smallest oem honda filter and they gave me a Honda insight oil filter it was just the right size leaving 2 or 3 cms of space between the runner. Thanks to evrybody helping me out.

Hamp oil filters ftw!

They're smaller than oem ones, last 5000+ miles, and they're m4d jdm y0!

i guess then that the insight might be a tad smaller than the s2k filter...either way just as a bit o trivia..from what i remember there is the insight, s2k, and then every other car has the same filter...so i guess the insight filter gave you a small boost in pressure also...
