Default CRX WIRING QUESTION!!

Ok all you Wiring Gooroos. I have a 88-89 under the dash harness and I want to use the 90-91 gauge cluster. Well I believe I have all of that wired up correctly thanks to one of my previous posts. Well now I have run into another problem. All the plugs for the hazards, rear defrost, dimmer etc are all different. And I really want to use the 90-91 CRX gauge cover because it looks nicer. My question is, the gauge cluster wiring and all those little switches are on a seperate harness that disconnects from the fuse box, can I just pick up that part of the harness from another 90-91 CRX/EF and plug it right into my 88-89 fuse box? Or do I have to use the 90-91 fuse box? OR should I just try and come up with a complete 90-91 CRX/EF harness?
