perhaps anyone could help explain how to do this please...

I'm trying to get a jdm ITR carbon fiber shift console fitted on my usdm DB7 shift console. The thing is that they are made differently because of left hand drive vs right hand drive consoles....

i have seen this done before, but don't have good pictures to show how they did it! Here are some pictures....
