recaro's squeeking?? anyone ever had this problem??
I guess I need to take my seats out and figure out where exactly the squeeking is comming from...
I was on my way back from Oklahoma City today and I had my radio down and I noticed that if I rock back and forth in my jdm recaro srd it squeeks so i reached over and the passanger seat does the same thing... anyone have this problem before???
any tips on where I need to tighten them up?
I know that it is not coming from where they mount to the floor, i double checked that when I just got back to work but everything else is pretty much covered up, so anyone any ideas??
Thanks

Have you checked the seatbelts? In my GSR, both the passenger and the driver part where the seatbelt clicks into squeeks like crazy.
no it's not the seatbelt... cause the passanger side does the same thing, and I wasn't wearing my seatbelt when I showed a guy I work with, when I got back...
My Buddy Club bucket with MemoryFab seat rail did the same thing. There was play between the bracket and slider. I couldn't fix it so I sold it to a friend
. Apparently he could deal with the squeaking; I couldn't.

exactly what I'm thinking... if I drive without the radio up then it's fine, but if my girl's in the car, I have the radio down so I can talk to her, and I hear the squeeking... it used to no be like this... think maybe I could just get some different brackets/sliders??

It seems like my SRD's squeek quite a bit, the noise seems to be coming from the hip bolster area. I dont think its the seat belt connection because it does it when the seat belt is not connected and only when I rock on it pretty hard. I just turn the radio up though, if you do figure out what it is, let me know. Id love to fix the problem.
Does anybody remember the UK link used to be on the top advertising banner who sold Recaro seat parts? There was a kit which replace worn out washers between the hinges in order to prevent side to side backlashes.

I bougth parts here. It was some replacement parts so make the seats tighter, but it didn't help much... I don't have the sound you describe, but i have the sound from the release buckle

My passenger seat used to squeak now and then and only when no one was sitting in it, but i had it out during the summer to clean it and since putting it back in again it hasnt squeaked since, so i'm guessing something was slightly loose.
an old set of stock itr seats iuse to have had a bad squeek. but i turned the lever on the side of the seat midway up the back(forget what its called).. but that adjusted the back of the seat and made the squeak go away.. maybe if your squeek is inside your seat like mine was its possible to take off you seat cover and find te squeek..
