i'm planning to buy an after market intake manifold for my h22. what are the good/best intake manifolds out there? right now, i'm thinking.......euro R v.s. skunk 2. which one's better?
Both take some modification to work with any H22, From what i've read on a stock motor the Euro-R will out perform the Junk2 one. The Junk2 one does ok with Forced induction from what ive read.

port match the stock one to the head and throttle body

There used to be a dyno comparing all 3 manifolds. Skunk2's, EuroR's, and stock H22 manifold. The results showed that the EuroR was the best and put the most area under the curve.
You are correct, it does not have the secondary butterflies. The Euro-r intake mani is from the European Honda Accord Type-R. The Accord is the same engine as the type-s except it has this "intake manifold" and an LSD transmission instead of atts found on the type-s. Hope it helps.

I know this isn't relavant to the question at hand, but this is incorrect.
The Euro-R was a Japanese verison of the Accord Type-R, which was only sold in Europe. And Obviously they keep the best for themselves, hence the Euro-Rs single runner intake mani, and close ratio transmission

Eh? Afaik there was no H22 powered Prelude or compatible variant in JDMland, de-noted strictly with a "R." (Besides the SiR H22 which is different.) Moreover the only strictly "R" denoted H22 I know of is the Accord Type-R, or Euro-R. (Euro obviously denotes European so I don't even know what there is to confuse...)

Yes, you are correct in that there is no Prelude with a "R" badging.
There are however two different Accords with the "R' badge.
One being the Accord Type-R (ATR), and the other the EuroR. They are two different vehicles.
The ATR was sold in Europe and its chasis code was CH1

The EuroR was sold in Japan and its chasis code was CL1

Euro-R definatly. I have the Skunk2, and it's not a very good manifold for everyday use. It's pretty much gutless until 4,500 and real power only starts at 6,500 rpm. I had my setup tuned with hondata as well. Trust me, stay stock or go euro-r, Don't go with the Skunk2.
The Skunk2 pro is the best choice. I have the "old" S2 and it makes power above 4k. Btw, you don't "race" below that rpm do you? Nobody does. You want something that will make high rpm power.
i like my black trax intake manifold... havent gotten it dynoed but when i installed it onto my engine i could tell a difference. but my motor isent stock.
plus is makes a cool wishling noise it mad cool y0!
here are some pictures of it.

I have the old S2 manifold as well. How is the pro different?
Peak power is one thing, but when your dragging your in the midrange most of the time. From what I've heard the euro-r has more midrange than the skunk2.
My vote is still euro-r. Does anyone have the comparison dyno of the S2 vs Euro-R vs Stock?
